Q & A

Is my site shared with others or just for me?

Your site is your own. Although all sites are hosted at digitalhistoryhub.com, each site is separate from all others and will showcase only your collections.

How secure is the data I upload?

Your Omeka site will be hosted on one of our servers located in Vancouver, which we manage ourselves (as opposed to servers located on an anonymous "cloud" platform). Physical access to our facility is restricted to only our staff, and our infrastructure is protected by modern firewalls and other security technologies.

Is my data backed up?

Absolutely! Your site is backed up both within our facility and offsite. Multiple, redundant levels of backup are present, with daily, weekly and monthly versioning. Just ask if you'd like more detail.

How can I get help or training?

Just email us at info@andornot.com or call us at 1-866-266-2525. We're available by phone and email Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Pacific Time, though we monitor sites 24/7 and will act after hours if there is an emergency.

I already have an Omeka site. Can you host it?

Yes! We can help you transfer your site and data to our hosting service, upgrade it, add new themes, and more.

Do you work with Omeka Classic or the newer Omeka S?

Both. We recommend Omeka S for most new projects, but can host, support and offer Omeka Classic too.
